 Other DuPont Teflon® Industrial Coatings

Teflon® One Coat Finishes
420G Line

These products have excellent adhesion, durability, heat resistance and non-stick qualities, making them a good choice in a variety of situations where dry lubrication and release in an abrasive or high temperature environment are needed.

  • FDA Status: Yes, this coating system complies with the FDA regulations for direct food contact.
  • Colors: Gray, Metallic Black.
  • Maximum use temp: 500f/260c
  • Possible end uses: Food Processing Equipment, Vacuum Forming Molds, Styrofoam Molds, Processing Rolls.

Teflon® Industrial Supra®
857G

Because the demands of most industrial applications exceed that of lower-end house ware-type products, the offering of Industrial Supra represents the most advanced technology available. Industrial Supra contains PTFE and PFA, a patented combination, offering long-lasting release and goes one step further by including ceramic for advanced abrasion and cut resistance. Supra is a 3-coat system.

  • FDA Status: Yes, this coating system complies with the FDA regulations for direct food contact.
  • Colors: Metallic Pewter or Metallic Black.
  • Maximum use temp: 500f/260c (continuous), 550f/285c (intermittent)
  • Possible end uses: Food Processing Equipment, Extrusion Dies, Molds, Copier Rolls, Processing Rolls, Heat Seal Bars, Hot Plate Welding Dies, Release of Glue and Adhesives.

Teflon® Ceramic Reinforced
857G

This "new technology" product line is derived from the most scratch resistant cookware system. A patented blend of PTFE and PFA, combined with ceramic filers, this system offers excellent release and abrasion resistance. Ceramic reinforced is a 3-coat system.

  • FDA Status: Yes, this coating system complies with the FDA regulations for direct food contact.
  • Colors: Metallic Black.
  • Maximum use temp: 500f/260c (continuous), 550f/285c (intermittent)
  • Possible end uses: Food Processing Equipment, Extrusion Dies, Molds for Abrasive Materials, Textile Cans, Chutes, Copier Rolls, Heat Seal Bars, Hot Plate Welding Dies, Release of Glue and Adhesives.

Blue Fastener Coating
857G-018

Designed for applications where anti-galling, anti-corrosion, and dry lube performance are vital, such as Subsea Applications, chemical processing, or water treatment. This blue, water based PTFE one-coat cures at 450f/230c and will provide an in use temp of up to 400f/205c. For better corrosion resistance, a phosphate pretreatment is recommended.

"The Green Monster"
958G-414

It's a Dark Green, Extra Abrasion resistant, PTFE one coat. This coating has a relatively low cure temperature- approx 425f/220c, and will provide you an in use temps rating of 395f/200c, with great durability. This solvent based coating is filled, which gives it added durability without sacrificing much of the low coefficient of friction qualities of PTFE. Additionally, what separates this coating from other PTFE one coats is that you can build it up to 4 mils in dry film thickness. Applicators in the automotive industry (consumer and High Performance) have found this coating to be a difference maker. We are just beginning to scratch the surface as to where this coating can serve the performance coating industry.
