Halar® Coatings

Halar® E-CTFE fluoropolymer provides a unique combination of properties well suited to the needs of the chemical, electronic, semiconductor, automotive and other industries. The material offers toughness and excellent impact strength over a broad temperature range. One of the best fluoropolymer for applications requiring high resistance to abrasion and corrosion.

Historically, Halar® E-CTFE has been the preferred material for use in chemical handling equipment. Primary applications in the chemical process industry include pipes, fittings, pumps, valves, vessel, and tanks. The anti-stick and release properties are exceptional when Polymist® PTFE resins are used as additives in the coating. Coating thickness ranging from 7 to 50 mils can be obtained.
